Tools to use

  • Frying pan
  • Measuring spoons

How to create

  • Spread 1 T peanut butter and 1 T strawberry jam on the center of the bread.
💡You can top it with nutella, chocolate, blueberry jam, or anything else you like.
Pressing down on the center of the bread with a cup
  • Layer the rest of the bread, then cup and twist the center.
Pan with perforated bread and butter on top
  • Heat a skillet over low heat and add two slices of pierced bread.
  • Cut 15 grams of clarified butter into 3 pieces and place each piece in two holes and an empty space to melt.
Crack an egg into the hole of the bread and place it in the center of the pressed bread.
  • Crack 1 egg into each hole in the bread.
  • Place the reserved peanut butter-strawberry jam bread on top of the melted butter to cover.
  • Sprinkle 1 pinch of salt over the eggs.
  • Leave it to roast slowly over low heat.
💡Cooking with the lid on will make it cook faster.
  • When the eggs are almost cooked, flip once and cook for another 30 seconds.
  • Sprinkle the toast with black pepper, crushed red pepper, and olive oil and you're done.

Caveats & tips

  • If you cook over too high of a heat, the bread will burn first and the eggs will be undercooked. Be sure to cook them slowly over low heat.
  • Blueberry jam instead of strawberry jam, Nutella instead of peanut butter, chocolate, etc... You can use your favorite ingredients.
  • If you like, you can add more cheese for a richer flavor.
