How to create

💡It's easier to cut it all at once with a scissors.

- Apply a thin layer of water to the rough side of the rice paper.
💡Apply water only to the rough side and wait a few minutes to let the rice paper flow.
💡Be careful not to add too much water, as it will make the finished product chewy and hard instead of crispy. - Cut 12 sheets of rice paper in half.

- Use 1 piece of rice paper per piece of spam and roll it twice.
💡Roll the cut half-circle of rice paper and then roll it again, but in the opposite direction.

- Cut the rice paper-wrapped spam into thirds.

- In a bowl, combine 3 T whole sesame seeds and 1 T sugar, then add the rice paper spam and toss to coat.
💡 If they dry out and don't stick well, add a small amount of cooking oil.

- Place them on a tray without overlapping and drizzle with cooking oil.

- Place in an air fryer preheated to 180 degrees and cook for 12 minutes.

- In the meantime, make the sauce. In a bowl, whisk together 2 T mayonnaise, 1 T tomato ketchup, 2 T sriracha, and 2 T sambal ketchup.
- Dip a warm, grilled Spam Pop in the sauce and pair it with a beer.
💡Beware, freshly baked Spam Pops are hot inside.
Caveats & tips
- Rice paper: Be careful not to apply too much water, as it can make the result hard and tough.
- Airfryer: Flip once halfway through cooking for more even crisping.
- Sources: You can increase the amount of Sriracha to your taste to make it spicier. If it's too spicy for you, try adding more mayonnaise.
