- 1/2 whole tofu
- 2 eggs
- 1 T tuna liquid
- 0.5 to 1 green chili pepper
- 1 T sesame oil
- 1 T dark soy sauce
- 0.5 T chili powder
- Allulose 0.5T

How to create


- Cut 1/2 of the pure tofu into small pieces and place in a bowl.

- In a bowl, whisk together 2 eggs, 1 T tuna liquid, and chopped green chiles.

- Pour the egg wash over the sliced soft tofu.


- Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 2 minutes.


- In the meantime, make the marinade: In a bowl, whisk together 1 T sesame oil, 1 T dark soy sauce, 0.5 T chili powder, and 0.5 T allulose.

- Remove the bowl from the microwave, gently stir the egg wash next to the soft tofu, replace the plastic wrap, and microwave for 2 more minutes.


- When the egg is completely set, it's ready. Drizzle the marinade evenly over the steamed tofu egg.
Caveats & tips
- Depending on the power of your microwave, the cooking time may vary slightly, so check the status halfway through.
- Adjust the amount of green chiles to control the spiciness. If you don't like spicy, try substituting scallions for the green onions.
- Use scissors to cut the soft tofu and green chiles to make it easier.
