A simple breakfast with a fried egg sandwich

Today I'm going to share a super easy fried egg sandwich recipe that's perfect for a busy breakfast or a quick lunch. A fried egg sandwich is a simple dish that doesn't involve boiling or scrambling eggs, but simply fries them and adds a variety of ingredients. It's easy to make with ingredients you already have on hand, and there are a variety of sauces to go with it, so you can choose your favorite. The basic recipe is a fried egg, ham, cheese, and lettuce, but you can use whatever you have in your fridge, so let's get started with the fried egg sandwich.

Sandwich sauce recipes
We've put together several sandwich sauce recipes for you to choose from, so you can make your favorite. Adjust the amount of sauce depending on the ingredients in your sandwich. As long as you keep the proportions right, you'll get the same flavor.
Mustard Sauce (Light+Clean)

Add 1 T yellow mustard sauce, 2 T mayonnaise, 1 T honey, 1 T whole grain mustard, whisk well, and add a few grinds of black pepper.
- If you don't have whole-grain mustard, feel free to omit it.
- Instead of putting pickles on your sandwich, try chopping them into small pieces and adding them to your sauce.
- Try adding 1 T lemon juice to taste.
- If you're using honey mustard sauce instead of yellow mustard, try omitting or reducing the honey.
- You can use allulose instead of honey to lower the calories a bit.
Condensed Milk Sauce (Spicy + Sweet)

Add 2 T evaporated milk, 1 T mayonnaise, 1 T sriracha, and whisk to combine.
- You can adjust the amount of sriracha to add or reduce the spiciness. However, if you don't use sriracha at all, the sandwich will be boring, so you may want to choose another sauce instead.
Sambal Ketchup Sauce (intense + deep flavor)

Combine 4 T mayonnaise, 2 T ketchup, 1 T sambal ketchup, and 1 T sriracha and mix well.
- Sambal ketchup is an Indonesian sauce with a spicy, slightly sweet, and deep flavor. Product information can be found at the bottom of this post.
- It has a rich flavor, but it can be intense and pungent for some people. If you want to adjust for this, try increasing the mayonnaise ratio a bit more. If you want a more intense flavor, try reducing the mayonnaise a bit.
Create a sandwich
Baking bread

Toast the bread to a golden brown. If you don't have a toaster, heat an ungreased skillet over medium heat and toast the bread from front to back. Toasting the bread will give the sandwich a much better overall texture.
Baking eggs and ham

Heat a little cooking oil in a pan over medium heat and crack the egg yolks and fry them from side to side. The eggs need to be soft so they'll blend in with the bread. Place the ham in the empty space in the pan. You don't need to heat the sandwich ham, but it tastes better if it's lightly toasted.
Assembling Sandwiches

Spread half of the sauce on one side of the bread on a large piece of plastic wrap. Top with the ham, cheese, fried egg, and lettuce, then spread the rest of the bread with the remaining sauce to cover.
- Use what you have on hand, such as cucumber instead of lettuce or bacon instead of ham.
- When using the Magic Wrap, make sure the sticky side is facing up so the wrap doesn't unwrap easily and holds the sandwich securely.
Complete the sandwich

Press down firmly on the bread and pull the edges of the wrap to wrap around the sandwich. Flip it over, cut, and you're done. Wrapping the sandwich in the wrap helps keep the sandwich from spilling over, even if you're adding a lot of ingredients.
