Today I'm bringing you a super easy bibimbap marinade recipe that's perfect for dipping into just about anything.
Just toss some holiday greens, veggies rolling around in the fridge, or a can of tuna with this marinade and you've got yourself a great meal. This recipe is focused on being quick, easy, and delicious with few ingredients.

What is Bibimbap?
Bibimbap is a traditional Korean dish that consists of warm rice topped with a variety of vegetables, meat, eggs, gochujang or soy sauce, and other ingredients. Depending on the region and personal preference, there are many variations of the dish, including Jeonju Bibimbap and Dolsot Bibimbap.

Preparation materials
- Sugar: 1T to 2T
- Dark soy sauce: 2T
- Gochujang: 2T
- Minced garlic: 0.5 t
- Sesame seeds: A little (can be omitted)
💡 Tip: You can use brewed soy sauce instead of dark soy sauce, but not light soy sauce.
Measurements: I used 1T=15cc, 1t=5cc measuring spoon

The creation process
Create a marinade

1. Add 1 T to 2 T of sugar to the marinade bowl.
💡 Tip: 2 T of sugar makes for a sweet bibimbap, so adjust the amount of sugar to your taste.

2. Add 2 T dark soy sauce.

3. Add 2 T of gochujang. Measure with a measuring spoon.


4. Add 0.5 t minced garlic and mix well. You can adjust the amount of garlic to your taste.


5. Crush the whole sesame seeds and add them in. You can either grind them completely like I did, or just crush them in the palm of your hand.
💡 Tip: You can also add a little sesame oil instead of whole sesame seeds, or crumble in seasoned seaweed for a savory flavor.
6. Mix well one last time and you're done with this super easy bibimbap marinade.
Making Bibimbap

1. place rice in a large bowl (approximately 200 grams)

2. Top the rice with various greens or vegetables. (If you don't have any, try canned tuna!)

3. Add additional toppings such as fried egg, seaweed powder, etc.

4. Add the reserved marinade and mix well to combine.
💡 Tip: Adjust the amount of marinade based on the type and amount of ingredients you're using. Taste and add a little at a time.
5. You can add whatever you have left in the fridge, such as corn on the cob, canned tuna, grilled processed meats (ham, sausage, etc.), leftover vegetables, roasted mushrooms, etc.
