- Brie - 50 g (usually 100 g to 125 g, so use half)
- Garlic - 3-5 cloves (minced)
- Fresh basil - 10-20 g (reserve 3 small leaves for garnishing) 🌿
- cherry tomatoes - 10 (halved)
- Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, grated to your liking
- extra virgin olive oil - 5 Tablespoons
- Salt, pepper - a little
🍝 How to Make Brie Cheese Pasta
1. boil pasta noodles
Bring 1 liter of water and 10 grams of salt to a boil in a saucepan and cook the pasta noodles until 100% al dente. (Note: different pasta noodles require different cooking times, refer to package instructions)
2. Trim your ingredients
While the water is boiling, mince the garlic and cut the cherry tomatoes in half. Remove the rind from the brie and slice it into thin slices. Chop the fresh basil into small pieces so that its aromatic flavor can spread.
3. mix ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta noodles and all the trimmed ingredients (garlic, tomatoes, brie, basil) and add 5 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil. Season to taste with a couple pinches of salt and pepper and toss to combine.
4. Melt the cheese
Add a ladle or two of noodle water while you're mixing to help the cheese melt and blend into the pasta! Once the cheese is melted and seasoned to your liking, transfer to a bowl.
5. plate
Arrange the pasta noodles on a plate with the tomatoes, basil leaves, and finally grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and you're done!
🍴 Cooking tips and alternative ingredients
- Cooking tips: If the cheese doesn't melt well or the sauce is a bit runny, add noodles in small amounts to get the desired consistency. Stir well after each addition of noodles to get a creamy texture.
- Cheese substitutions: You can use Camembert cheese instead of brie, or add gorgonzola if you want a little more flavor.
- Spinach instead of basil: If you don't have fresh basil on hand, you can substitute fresh spinach leaves. Adding them lightly cooked adds a subtle flavor.
- Richer flavors: To finish, add a drop or two of truffle oil for a more luxurious flavor.
